Katherine Lieblang is a young dancer, singer, and actress who has been a part of the Motor City Tap Fest since its beginning in 2008. After 10 formative years of training at Noretta Dunworth School of Dance, she became a member of the Detroit Tap Repertory and later went on to study with the late Professor Robert L. Reed. She and her tap partner Andrea Sevonty formed "The Riffin' Sisters" in 2014 and have performed their signature "Chain Gang" duet in Detroit, St. Louis, and New York City. A musical theatre standout, Katherine competed in the High School Musical Theatre Awards at Michigan State University. Since then, she has been involved, both as an actor and assists director, in local community theatre. As a singer, Katherine is a former member of Blue Fusion Vocal Jazz Ensemble and a current member of classical choir Vanguard Voices. In September, she will attend the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. She is grateful for her many mentors and friends in the tap community who are helping her realize her dreams.
